Samuel Tan

Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO)

Samuel is Group CEO of Kydon Learning Systems Group. Samuel is an industry veteran in digital learning and transformation. A strategic leader with great interpersonal skills across all levels within and in client organisations, Samuel has been instrumental in securing and delivering the Singapore Ministry of Education’s FutureSchools initiative and the Singapore Armed Forces’ LEARNet program. He is also well acquainted with the greater China market having worked there for almost a decade. Samuel holds an MBA from the University of Victoria.

Rakesh Kumar

Director, Research & Development

Rakesh drives the development of modern Pencil, Kydon Learning Systems Institute’s proprietary and cutting-edge Learning Management System. An IT professional and entrepreneur with an innate passion for new and emerging technologies, Rakesh is the brains behind many challenging and complex client applications and tech solutions in the companies he has founded or worked in. Over the span of his career, he has developed many widely-used applications in the digital learning domain.

In recognition of his entrepreneurship and innovations, Rakesh was honoured as Singapore’s Young Indian Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007 and Singapore’s Young IT Professional of the Year in 2009, among other awards he has received. Rakesh holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computing from the National University of Singapore.

Victor Lee

Director, Business Development

Victor is well versed with the digital learning market in Singapore, having co-founded and overseen MQ Spectrum, a Learning Management System and software engineering company for more than a decade together with Rakesh. As Director of Business Development, Victor is responsible for the retention of existing clientele and acquisition of new markets and clients. He brings with him the breadth of experience and deep insights to help clients successfully bridge and unify their business goals, operational needs and organizational learning requirements. Victor holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer and Information Science) degree from the National University of Singapore.
